Here's how to get beer for your old clothes

Words by Abi Scaife

Did you know you can now trade your old clothes in for beer?

What? How did we not know about this?

Camden Town Brewery has partnered with pre-loved clothes charity Traid, allowing people to trade (ha!) in their pre-loved clothes for a can of Camden Town’s new winter beer, Chilly.

According to Traid, 300,000 tonnes of clothing end up in landfills every year in the UK – of which 40% is still wearable.

Camden Town and Traid are hoping to encourage people to take a look at their wardrobes this festive season, to see what can be donated or recycled, instead of just being thrown away.

Maybe you think you’ve worn your Levi’s to death, but they could bring a lot of joy to someone else!

What else do we need to know?

The Camden Chilly "Traid Off" will be in Manchester, Leeds and London from 12-4pm from 15th-17th November.

Leeds – Victoria Leeds, Sidney Street (15th November)

London – Camden Beer Hall (16th November)

Manchester – Trafford Centre (17th November)
