Absolut Vodka launches eco-friendly paper bottle

Words by Abi Scaife

Absolut Vodka is going for green with its brand-new paper bottle.

Sorry - paper?

Yep - Absolut, the company behind that yummy vodka, has come up with an incredible new design for their bottles, in a bid for greater sustainability.

The new paper bottle, made with a recyclable plastic lining so it doesn’t, y’know, disintegrate, will be available at 22 Tesco stores across Greater Manchester, for a trial.

What else?

Absolut is committed to creating a fully bio bottle and says this paper bottle is just a baby step on that journey. They release 98% less emissions than the average distillery and have a goal of making their product carbon neutral by 2030.
