AJ and Curtis took an inspiring journey to an Alzheimer's Research UK lab, a reward for their triumph at the Smiley Charity Film Awards, where they clinched the Grand Prix Charity Film of the Year award.
At the UCL Drug Discovery Institute, part of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Drug Discovery Alliance, the brothers were immersed in the cutting-edge research aimed at unveiling new dementia treatments. Their hands-on experience included drug screening, chemical modeling, and witnessing the DDI’s advanced screening robot in action.

This visit underscored the vital work being done at the Alzheimer’s Research Drug Discovery Institute, which is dedicated to developing essential treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Through participation in various tests and experiments, AJ and Curtis gained invaluable insight into the meticulous research efforts underway, highlighting the crucial need for ongoing funding to propel dementia drug discovery and move closer to a cure.
