Boutique hotel chain supports vulnerable communities

Words by Blyth Brentnall

A boutique hotel chain is funding efforts to uplift disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.

Lovely, tell me more.

Every time a guest checks into a Naumi Hotel in Wellington or Aukland, New Zealand, they support people in need.

Dotted across Oceania, Naumi Hotels have a philanthropic arm, Naumi Humanity, which upskills underprivileged people and offers them ethical employment opportunities.

The hotel guests’ package includes a tote bag and robe handcrafted from sari offcuts by women in Mumbai.

“Naumi’s goal is to help vulnerable communities break away from the poverty trap, reduce food insecurity and provide nutritional support to children in underserved societies around the world,” said Lachlan Harris, the Group Director Sales and Marketing of Naumi Hotels.
