Over the past week, the situation in the Middle East has escalated, as attacks have moved to include Lebanon. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people have been caught up in the crossfire, and are in dire need of help.
For those who want to help, but don’t know where to turn, here are three incredible charities that are supporting people on the ground in Lebanon.
Concern is an international humanitarian organisation that strives for a world free from poverty, fear and oppression. Right now, they are responding to meet the needs of thousands of people who've fled their homes in Lebanon and Gaza due to escalating violence.
Save the Children are helping to support children and families based in Lebanon, distributing hygiene products, medical care and food packages to those in need. They are also supporting the children affected by the violence through psychosocial and mental health support, helping them to process what is happening.
The International Rescue Committee provides emergency and long-term support to people affected by crisis in Lebanon. They have been working in Lebanon since 2012, but are currently escalating their work to support those impacted by the ongoing violence.
