Children send postcards to world leaders

Words by Abi Scaife

Children are sending postcards to world leaders to show them just how important their education is.

Tell me more.

The UN global fund for education in emergencies, Education Cannot Wait, has launched its new campaign Postcards from the Edge.

Children from across the world have become involved in this campaign, writing postcards to world leaders requesting them to fulfil their promise of making education universally accessible.

What else?

More than 50 letters, drawings and videos have been received from children affected by crisis who have been helped through Education Cannot Wait funded programmes.

The postcards are from children scattered across more than 20 of the world’s toughest country contexts, all displaying their hopes and dreams for the future.

If you wish to help children across the globe receive a quality education, you can support charities like Save the Children through donations and volunteering.
