Again for another year ACCIONA celebrates World Sanitation Day with an awareness campaign aimed at highlighting the importance of sanitation systems as a pillar in public health, the economy, and environmental sustainability. 

This year’s campaign uses the slogan "Can you imagine a day without it?". While toilets are often overlooked as an essential part of life in the western world, it can be easy to forget that many communities are missing this in their daily lives. 

A UN study has shown that more people have access to a mobile phone than a safe and managed toilet. 

ACCONA’s campaign features a 2-part online and offline approach. The offline features the use of traditional offline campaign marketing with posters and street furniture advertising (think bus stops and digital advert screens). For the online portion of their campaign, ACCIONA has developed an interactive experience with a puzzle, history lesson on how we have evolved to modern day sanitation, and an advice piece on good sanitation practices.
