One of the most recognizable actors of the past generation, George Clooney, is using his mass appeal to do good.
Clooney, in partnership with CharityBuzz, is hosting an intimate dinner party up for bid with the goal of raising funds for the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
The winners of the bid will participate in the CharityBuzz 'Good Evenings' event along with Clooney.
Proceeds will go to his organization seeking justice in response to human rights abuses worldwide. The foundation has multiple programs such as Trial Watch, Waging Justice for Women, and The Docket dedicated to achieving justice for the most vulnerable people among us.
“[My wife] and I started the Clooney Foundation for Justice because we believe in creating a world where human rights are protected and no one is above the law,” Clooney said. “We know that so many people not only agree with us on that, but also want to actively support and be a part of this work. We hope this Charitybuzz dinner gives people the opportunity to do just that.”
The 'Good Evenings' event uses the power of celebrity to make a difference and this isn’t the first one. Others included Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, Gwyneth Paltrow, Steve Carell and the cast of The Office, and more.
