Give up booze to combat cancer this October

Words by Abi Scaife

Macmillan is encouraging people to Go Sober for October.

What does that mean?

Sober October is a campaign organised by the cancer charity, Macmillan. It encourages everyone to go teetotal for a month to raise money for their support services.

We might be a few days in already, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to sign up! You can still go sober for all of October - and even make up the five days you’ve missed - by signing up on the Macmillan website.

Once you’ve registered, ask your friends to donate to your campaign! All the proceeds go towards Macmillan Cancer Support, funding their fight to support those affected by cancer.
