The new global community promoting veganism

Words by Abi Scaife

A worldwide initiative has launched to encourage more vegan community kitchens.

Amazing! Tell me more.

Made In Hackney is a UK vegan charity and community cookery school, dedicated to sharing the health and environmental benefits of eating vegan.

They’re now sharing free vegan cooking lessons online, to make it more accessible to people from all over the world.

The Global Plant Kitchens platform is the first of its kind and covers topics such as fundraising, programme development and responding to cultural needs.

What is it for?

The ultimate goal is to enable people to create vegan community kitchens, to help both people and the planet - and to make vegan food accessible to all.

If you’re interested in learning more about vegan cooking, or how to launch a vegan community kitchen, you can do so on the Global Plant Kitchens platform. If you want to learn more about Made In Hackney and what you can do to support the charity, you can do so on their website.
