If any of these questions come to your mind, then you’re in the right place. International Day of Non-Violence is a special day established by the United Nations in 2007 to highlight the importance of non-violence when approaching resolution to conflict, social change and future-forward thinking.
This day honours the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, who championed the philosophy of non-violence as a powerful tool for social and political transformation.
Mahatma Gandhi's commitment to non-violence was rooted in his belief that peaceful resistance could effectively challenge oppression and injustice. His leadership during the Indian independence movement inspired countless individuals and movements worldwide.
