The Chickens Bringing Hope to Women in Kenya

We love seeing people and organisations give back - and this one is doing so in a pretty egg-cellent way!

Hopefull Handbags, in partnership with MIB International, is proud to announce the launch of the "Sponsor a Chicken" program to empower women in Kenya and offer them a path to economic independence and stability.

"We're turning a simple chicken into a catalyst for change," says Cathlene Miner, Founder and CEO of Hopefull Handbags. “Through the 'Sponsor a Chicken' program, we aim to empower women in Kenya to build better futures for themselves and their families. Every chicken sponsored is a step towards economic empowerment and self-sufficiency and every donation counts."

Hopefull Handbags is a brilliant not-for-profit organisation that works tirelessly on a global scale to promote long-term health, sustainability, and the safety and well-being of survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

They work with incredible partners to achieve their mission - and one such partner is MIB International, which connects mums in business all around the world to offer education, empowerment and support.

For just £3, supporters can gift a woman in Kenya a chicken, providing her with the means to eat, sell, or trade it. A donation of £30 provides ten chickens, allowing a woman to start her own egg business to support herself and her community with a sustained source of food and income.

Leona Burton, Founder of MIB International, added, “Many people spend more than £3 on a single meal deal that takes seconds to eat, so why not skip this for just one day and join us in this life-changing journey to create lasting empowerment for women in Kenya. Believe us when we say your contribution can make a world of difference.”
