For World Mental Health Day, we took to London’s South Bank to have some unfiltered, honest conversations about mental health - because it’s something that touches all of us in one way or another.
Too often, we shy away from talking about how we really feel. But the truth is, opening up is one of the most powerful things we can do - for ourselves, and for each other.
If you’re finding things tough, remember you’re not alone. There are incredible organisations ready to listen and support.
At Smiley Movement, we elevate the work of charities across the world. Here are three charities whose causes align with the themes in this post.
YoungMinds. This leading UK charity fights for children and young people’s mental health - ensuring every young person gets the support they need, when they need it, no matter what. Find out more.
Samaritans. Available 24/7, Samaritans provides free, confidential emotional support to anyone in distress or struggling to cope. They’re a listening ear for anyone, anytime. Learn more here.
CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). CALM takes a stand against suicide - the leading cause of death among men under 45 in the UK — by offering life-saving helplines, online chat, and community campaigns that spark honest conversations. Support them here.
