The festive season has well and truly crept up on us at Smiley News and while we’re excited to hit all the jolly markets, we would like to give a bit of much needed appreciation for the Marylebone Village Christmas lights.
Over the last two years, this Christmas light display has been a must stop for those taking a tour of London’s iconic displays – and for good reason.
Besides being in a well known part of London that is famous for its artisan shops, the lights are sustainable!
While this little known fact does not impact the viewing experience, it is especially important to see that communities are thinking about how they can make simple and quick sustainable changes which adds all the difference.
The lights were expertly designed by Blachere Illumination UK, an organisation that is firmly committed to sustainable innovation, promoting circularity and reducing their carbon footprint.
In an exclusive quote by: “At Blachere Illumination UK, sustainability is at the heart of everything we create. The Marylebone Village display reflects our commitment to eco-friendly design, using energy-efficient lighting and responsibly sourced, recycled materials to deliver beauty with minimal environmental impact.”
Blachere Illumination’s latest light installation reflects a commitment to sustainable design, crafted from recycled plastic bottles and illuminated with energy-efficient LEDs. In keeping with this eco-conscious approach, Marylebone Village will power the display only from sunset to 11 p.m., reducing overall energy consumption while preserving the festive atmosphere.
The illumination display is available from now until early January.
