Mika is being honoured with a Global Impact Award by music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins.
Nordoff and Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards 2025 take place on 2 July at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. The awards are both a celebration of music and how it benefits us all, no matter who we are or where we come from, and an opportunity to raise vital funds for Nordoff and Robbins.
Several new artists have been announced to win awards this year, including Mika for the Global Impact Award.
Mika said, of receiving the award: “Music has always been the bridge between my many homes. The O2 Silver Clef Awards remind us how that bridge can become a lifeline through Nordoff and Robbins’ music therapy work. To stand alongside this year’s honourees and help spotlight that mission is a joy and a profound honour.”
Mika has long been lauded for his philanthropic endeavours, and how he uses music to break boundaries and advocate for inclusivity. This award just goes to show how impactful his career has been, and how intrinsic music is to our society’s progress.
Also being honoured at the awards are Sophie Ellis-Bextor, receiving the Best Female Award, The Last Dinner Party, named Best New Music Award and AURORA, who will be honoured with the Contemporary Music Award.
