Offshore wind farm starts powering UK homes

Words by Abi Scaife

The UK’s new wind farm has begun powering homes.

Tell me more!

The first of the 277 wind turbines to be built in the North Sea is now up and officially powering British homes!

Once all the turbines are operational, the wind farm will produce enough energy to power 6 million homes a year.

That’s great!

Dogger Bank, as the wind farm is called, is located 70 nautical miles off the coast of Yorkshire and will be completed in 2026.

This is a huge win for sustainable energy and will help make Britain so much more eco-friendly!
