Joe Wicks is doing a charity fitness UK tour

Words by Smiley Team

When lockdown hit, there was one man who kept us moving: Joe Wicks. Starting his PE With Joe sessions, the fitness coach encouraged the nation to exercise each morning, as most were stuck indoors.

Since then, Joe has raised money for both NHS Charities and Children in Need. In July 2020, he announced he'd donated £580,000 of his advertising revenue to NHS Charities, and in November 2020 he raised more than £1.5 million for Children in Need with his 24-hour fitness challenge.

Now, he's taking his workouts to some of the countries most iconic places, from Sussex to Edinburgh, to raise even more money for Children in Need with 'PE With Joe On Tour'.

The tour, in partnership with Mini, requires people to book a ticket for the event, which includes a live one-hour workout and a meet and greet with Joe himself. 100% of proceeds for all tickets will be going to charity.

Children in Need is the BBC's corporate charity, existing to change the lives of children and young people across the UK. The charity raises money throughout the year, and funds local charities and projects who help remove the barriers that are facing children – so they can thrive. It supports children affected by a whole range of disadvantages such as poverty, disability, illness, distress or trauma.

So, where will Joe Wicks be heading?

Monday 9 August - Goodwood Racecourse, West Sussex

Tuesday 10 August - Cheltenhem Racecourse, Cheltenham

Wednesday 11 August - Warwick Castle, Warwick

Thursday 12 August - Castle Howard, York

Friday 13 August - Emirates Riverside Stadium, Durham

Saturday 15 August - Dundas Castle, South Queensferry

Tickets cost £12 for an adult and £5 for children. Children aged 0-3 go free.
