To celebrate the wide spectrums of gender and sexuality, Lego’s new Fab 5 Loft Set based on the TV series, Queer Eye, arrives on 1 October. The collection is designed for adults and, like the TV series it is based on, it represents the LGBT+ community, featuring mini figures of the show’s presenters, the Fab Five.
In a miniature version of their apartment that’s just like the show’s set, little plastic bricks and accessories reflect the presenters’ goal of boosting their guests’ confidence. Each of the Fab Five has a distinct skill set that they use to teach, coach and transform their guests into a prouder version of themselves.

Lego Group’s lead designer for the set Matthew Ashton collaborated with the Fab Five to ensure the new Lego bricks reflect what the show stands for.
He said: “Queer Eye has had such a positive impact on so many people’s lives which is why we are excited for this collaboration. It reminds us that we need to take time to celebrate kindness and help build each other up.”
To showcase how guests on Queer Eye benefit from the Fab Five’s various skills, the Lego set includes parts that demonstrate each stage the guests go through.
For instance, it includes food and wine specialist Antoni’s kitchen island at which he teaches guests new recipes and creative expression with food and style guru Tan’s clothing rack where he reinvigorates the guests’ wardrobes.

Small details of the set show the contribution of Karamo, a life coach and therapist, and interior designer Bobby, as well as Jonathan, the grooming consultant, whose salon area permits guests to unveil their inner beauty.
“In this set we’ve captured themes central to both the LEGO Group and the show - caring, creativity, learning and fun,” Matthew explained. “While the Fab Five rebuild people’s lives, we are on a mission to inspire people to get creative and help rebuild a more positive world.”
