During the challenging times we’re facing, it’s even more important to shine a spotlight of hope – and on people making a difference around the world.
That’s why the UN SDG Action Awards are such an important tool to help recognise the good that is being done in our world. The Awards celebrate those who are rewriting the story, with initiatives from individuals who rethink how we live and what progress and development look like.
“We want to find those who are flipping the script and rethinking how we live and what progress and development look like,” they say.
The UN SDG Action Campaign remains hopeful that we can face these current challenges in solidarity and flip division into togetherness, and apathy to action. “It is time to react, reset, restart,” the campaign states. “Old models have not delivered. We need new ones.”
They’re now looking for applications and nominations for the 2022 UN SDG Action Awards.
You can apply or nominate someone by 1 May 2022 for a chance to be celebrated at the Awards Ceremony during the Global Week to #Act4SDGs. Head to sdgactionawards.org to apply with your initiatives, or nominate a changemaker.
Finalists and winners will be celebrated at an event held in Bonn, Germany, during the UN General Assembly and the Global Week to #Act4SDGs in September 2022 and showcased on UN SDG Action Campaign channels throughout the year.
