Skateboarder aims to ride 300 miles in 24 hours

Words by Abi Scaife

A skateboarder from North Yorkshire is breaking a Guinness World record - and raising money for charity at the same time.

Tell me more.

Ryan Swain is aiming to ride 300 miles in 24 hours, to raise money for mental health charity Mind.

Ryan is taking on the challenge at Elvington Airfield on May 8 - and will be covering the equivalent of 13 full marathons in a single day.

That’s a lot!

Ryan lives with ADHD and acts as an advocate for mental health - which is why he feels so passionately about supporting Mind.

So far, Ryan has raised nearly £2000 for Mind, and is hoping to raise more by the time May 8th comes around!

If you want to support Ryan, you can do so by donating to his Just Giving page. If you want to support Mind directly, you can do so on their website.
