Words by Cheyanne Bryan, Editorial and Campaign Marketing Executive, London

To mark World Earth Day, Smiley News put together a panel to discuss solutions and ideas to champion climate action and looking after the planet.

In the fourteenth episode of Speak Up! by Smiley Movement, we turn our focus to World Earth Day, diving into the urgency of environmental advocacy and the collective responsibility we all share in protecting our planet.

With this year’s Earth Day theme spotlighting the shift to green, renewable and sustainable energy, the episode explores how everyday actions – no matter how small – can contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world.

We are joined by two compelling voices: Stuart Taylor, UK Country Director at Justdiggit, and Pia Bastide, a supporter and spokesperson for Just Stop Oil

Together, they unpack the realities of climate action, from grassroots organising to global energy policy, offering insight and inspiration for listeners who want to make a difference.

Whether it’s rethinking personal habits, supporting bold environmental movements, or simply starting a conversation, Speak Up! encourages us all to take part in shaping a greener future – one step at a time.
