Roe v. Wade, the landmark case that legalized abortion throughout the United States may be on the way out. According to a leak published by Politico, which was later confirmed by Chief Justice Roberts, the Supreme Court of the United States voted to overturn Roe v. Wade in an initial draft opinion.
Initial draft opinions don’t always stick, but if it does and Roe v. Wade is overturned that will mean a shift in lifestyle for women and others that can give birth throughout the United States.
Here are a few charities throughout the US that would provide aid to these people when it becomes needed.
One of the largest feminist organizations in the world, Women’s March, is hosting actions to support women during this time. For example, on May 14 they are hosting a massive countrywide march. The mission of Women's March is to harness the power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change.
"Our organization welcomes and values all women and feminists, working across race, age, place and all lines of difference," they say. "When we say all ‘women’ that means everybody invested in gender justice and putting an end to sexism in all its forms."
They have a range of campaigns throughout 2022 to support women, including Digital Defenders, their Feminist Futures series, as well as grassroots fundraising.
This organization brings together all the abortion funds, usually grassroots and local charities, under one umbrella making it a lot easier to see who to donate to in order to support your community. "We build power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice," they say.

One of the largest grassroots organizations for women in the US. According to their site, they have hundreds of chapters and hundreds of thousands of members spread throughout the United States.
Their goal is to promote change and equality for women through grassroots, community organization. Their foundation has a range of campaigns to support women.

The organizations listed above already do a lot of work on the local level, but there’s always the opportunity for community organizing and support as well. There are community organizations throughout the US that aim to support women, like women’s shelters that help women escape dangerous situations.
