Swimmers take on charity challenge for clean water

Words by Abi Scaife

WaterAid is challenging swimmers to take on a fundraising Swim Marathon.

The charity is asking swimmers to complete a half or full marathon (13 or 26 miles) over 12 weeks - starting from 1st August - while raising money for WaterAid. The swimming marathon can be done in one go (if you really want to!), or you can do it piece by piece across the month.

What does WaterAid do?

Any money donated to the Swim Marathon fundraisers will help WaterAid bring access to clean water to people across the globe.

If you want to sign up for the Swim Marathon and help the 771 million people across the world that still don’t have access to clean water, it’s not too late! Sign up on the website here.
