IbizaPreservation is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to conserving the natural beauty and sustainability of Ibiza and the neighbouring island of Formentera. The Foundation gathers donations from global supporters concerned about the islands' future, which are distributed to key environmental initiatives.

The organisation’s primary focus areas include the protection of rural and marine environments. Through safeguarding the islands' landscapes, biodiversity, and water resources, IbizaPreservation aims to enhance local well-being and prosperity.

Since their founding in 2008, they have raised over €4 million to support more than 60 environmental projects. Smiley News spoke to Director of Operations and Marcomms, Kate Beyon-Tinker, to hear more about their marine protection programme which focuses on seagrass and how human actions have been disrupting undersea meadows.
