Bringing the Big Issue to the forefront of people's thoughts
The Big Issue is a street newspaper founded by John Bird and Gordon Roddick in September 1991.
To this day it has supported over 92,000 people in its mission to prevent poverty.
John Bird is our latest Everyday Hero. The "ex criminal, ex drunk, ex homeless and ex everything else" is a reminder that anything is possible when we work together.
