The UK’s first-ever sex toy recycling scheme launches

Words by Blyth Brentnall

For the first time ever UK residents can recycle their sex toys!

Superb! How do I participate?

To make use of the scheme, send old or broken sex toys to The Natural Love Company’s Cornwall address, where the products are passed through e-waste recycling processes in collaboration with a recycling organisation.

They will accept sex toys from any brand regardless of whether or not they were purchased from the company. But you must have purchased at least one product from The Natural Love Company in order to participate.

How does it work?

Each toy is broken down through standard E-waste recycling processes. These involve separating out the device’s smaller parts: metals, plastics, circuit boards etc. These are sorted and sent to specialised facilities for further processing where the materials can eventually be reused in new products.
