As we face the urgent need to take action on climate change, art can play a powerful role in inspiring positive change and promoting awareness of this critical issue. Octopus Energy have teamed up with the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment at Imperial College London to paint powerful public art across Great Britain to raise awareness about climate change and promote positive action for a better future.
As COP28 ends – we wanted to create a film about the mural in West Norwood, London designed by Janet, a young activist in Rochdale and painted by artist Michelle Meola. The prize invited young people to create bold designs for outdoor public murals aimed at motivating people to take action on climate change.
