'World's largest' ocean restoration project on its way

Words by Abi Scaife

The ‘world’s largest ocean restoration project’ has been designed in Dubai.

Great! Tell me more.

Dubai Reefs is expected to be the world’s largest ocean restoration project. The build will consist of 77 square miles of artificial reef, an amazing home for corals and 100 million mangrove trees.

This is a huge win for biodiversity and ocean conservation. It will hopefully give sea life a new place to thrive and grow.

Plus, the design includes a marine institution, to teach tourists and more about marine life and what we can do to protect it.
