1. Eligibility:
• Entrants must be legal residents of the United Kingdom.
• Entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
• Employees of Smiley News, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
2. How to Enter:
• To enter, participants must sign up for the Smiley News newsletter.
• Only one entry per person is permitted.
• Entries must be received by 11:59 PM BST on August 7th, 2024.
3. Prize:
• The prize consists of two (2) tickets to see Lucinda Light live in London at the Clapham Grand on August 13th, 2024.
• The prize does not include travel, accommodation, or any other expenses.
• The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
4. Winner Selection:
• The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received by the closing date.
• The draw will take place on August 8th, 2024.
• The winner will be notified by email within 48 hours of the draw.
5. Claiming the Prize:
• The winner must respond within 48 hours of notification to claim the prize.
• If the winner does not respond within this time frame, Smiley News reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.
6. Publicity:
• By entering the competition, entrants agree to participate in any publicity or promotional activities as reasonably required by Smiley News.
• The winner’s name and likeness may be used for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
7. Data Protection:
• Personal data provided during the entry process will be used in accordance with Smiley News’ privacy policy.
• Entrants agree that their information will be used to contact them if they win and to send them the Smiley News newsletter.
8. General Conditions:
• Smiley News reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition or these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
• In the event of any dispute regarding the competition, the decision of Smiley News is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. Liability:
• Smiley News accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or fail to reach the promoter by the relevant closing date for any reason.
• Smiley News will not be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property that may occur as a result of participation in the competition or use of the prize.
10. Governing Law:
• These terms and conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
