£120k donated to rewilding projects in the UK

Words by Abi Scaife

Over £120,000 has been awarded to 10 rewilding projects across Britain.

Awesome! Tell me more.

Rewilding Britain, a national charity, has awarded up to £15,000 to rewilding projects across the nation. This is the latest round of its biannual Rewilding Innovation Fund, which has already helped to support 13 projects nation-wide.

Who is getting the money?

Projects that received funds this time around include; The Thousand Year Trust, which is the first and only charity in the UK that protects and expands Celtic rainforests; Cornwall Wildlife Trust, which recently acquired 97 acres of nature-poor land on the borders of its largest nature reserve; and Rewilding The Intertidal, a marine restoration project looking to rewild the coastline of the UK’s first and only National Marine Park.

If you want to learn more about Rewilding Britain and their Rewilding Innovation Fund, as well as how to give back to any of these projects, you can do so on their website.
