A new conservation project has begun in Ferreyra, Córdoba, in Argentina, thanks to CNH Industrial.
CNH Industrial is a company which designs, produces, and sells agricultural machinery and construction equipment, but right now they are setting their sights on conservation, rather than creation.
It all started two years ago when, at their plant in Argentina, CNH team members noticed a number of thriving native species who had made their homes there.
Knowing this life needed to be protected, CNH reached out to the Temaikén Foundation, a local charity which works to conserve native and endangered species.
The two organisations immediately began working together to protect the species living on the CNH plant, including providing training for CNH employees and their families on biodiversity protection.
The Temaikén Foundation also performed a survey of the site and found 30 species of flora and 30 species of fauna to be protected.
The long-term goal is to include the site in the Argentine Network of Private Nature Reserves.
