Free or reduced meals for kids this summer

Restaurants around the UK are offering free or reduced meals to children to help parents with the cost of living during the summer holidays.

With energy bills rising, petrol prices skyrocketing, and even our food shop bills going up in price, many families struggling with their bills, let alone able to pay to entertain their kids over the break from school. 

The businesses below are cutting prices drastically – or completely – to allow kids to eat out this summer. If you don’t see a business on the list that’s in your local area, how about asking a local cafe or restaurant if they wanted to do something similar?

Asda

Asda announced that between 25 July and 3 September, children under 16 can eat a hot or cold meal for £1 in their cafes. It's available all day every day throughout the UK, with no minimum adult spend. Find out more

Whitbread

When one adult buys a £9.50 breakfast at any Whitbread pub or restaurant, two children under 16 and eat for free. Find out more

Beefeater and Brewers Fayre

At both Beefeater and Brewers Fayre pubs, two children can get free breakfast with one paying adult. Find out more

Morrisons

In Morrisons cafes nationwide, children can eat free all day every day from 3pm if an adult buys a meal over £4.99. Find out more

Yo Sushi

Children can eat for free if they like sushi from Monday to Thursday, 3pm-5.30pm, until 1 September.  Find out more

Bella Italia

Fancy Italian? Children can eat for £1 with any adult main meal. This is valid from 4-6pm from Monday to Thursday. 

Sizzling Pubs

From Monday to Friday, 3-7pm, you can get a kids’ main for £1 when you buy an adult main. 

Dobbies ​​Garden Centre

Kids eat free with an adult maihn meal – available daily from 12pm. It includes their kids lunch menu, or pick ‘n’ mix’ meal, plus a drink. Find out more
