Chadwick Boseman

Of course, our first stop had to be the late Chadwick Boseman. Before his untimely death in 2020, Chadwick spent much of his time visiting sick children in hospital, knowing he was sick himself, and just days before he died, he was looking at how to send gifts to childhood cancer patients.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he donated $4.8 million worth of PPE to black communtiies, and regularly donated to charitable causes and encouraged others to do the same.

John Cena

The former WWE wrestler made headlines for granting the most Make-A-Wish wishes in history, at 650. Not only that, but second place came in with fewer than 200 wishes.

He has been a huge supporter of causes since the beginning of his career, whether through donating money, wearing merchandise, or speaking up against bullying, racism and in support of cancer research.

Dave Grohl

Easily one of the biggest and best musicians in the last thirty years, Dave Grohl also has a heart of gold. He has been a public advocate for marriage equality since the early ‘90s, often wearing a white ribbon to show his support, standing up against homophobic people and legislation.

The musician is also a huge advocate of gun control, and has stated his support of improved legislation in interviews. He is also well known for rolling up his sleeves and getting involved in charity work in the trenches, pulling a 17 hour shift providing food for people experiencing homelessness in 2023.

Pedro Pascal

The internet’s favourite father, Pedro Pascal, is known for being a kindhearted soul, and avid supporter of LGBTQIA+ rights. His sister Lux, activist and actress, is a transgender woman who has spoken openly of Pedro’s unconditional love and support for her when she came out.

In the midst of recent media campaigns against transgender people, he has been a beacon of light, supporting the rights of LGBTQIA+ people openly and unequivocally.

Lewis Hamilton

The F1 driver is well known for converting to veganism in the interest of the planet, but he is also a huge supporter of climate action and environmental and animal rights. He uses his platform to raise awareness of these issues, as well as others that he supports.

Lewis has long spoken up against racism and queerphobia in the F1 community, including speaking out against restrictive laws in countries around the world. In 2020, he created his own charitable foundation, Mission 44, to help people from under-represented backgrounds achieve their ambitions.
