Lucy Dacus is donating $10,000 (approx £8,100) to trans people’s GoFundMe pages.
Lucy is a musician, named the 213th best guitar player of all time by Rolling Stone, who seamlessly blends activism with her musical talent.
A soloist, as well as part of musical supergroup Boygenius alongside Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy uses her music to stand up for the rights of LGBTQ+ people across America.
Lucy announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that she would be donating the $10,000 in $500 increments to GoFundMe accounts. The money is intended for the benefit of trans people saving for gender-affirming surgery, which can be incredibly expensive.
