We are thrilled to announce the launch of PACTS, a groundbreaking educational initiative developed by Reboot the Future, SEEd, and The Harmony Project. This initiative is designed to empower students, especially those who are not yet of voting age, by helping them recognise the importance of their voices in holding politicians accountable for their climate commitments.
With a new government in office and in this moment of political reset there is an unprecedented opportunity for students to engage and influence politicians on the climate issues they care about.
At the launch event, the Smiley News witnessed schools and MPs collaborating with prominent figures, educators, and business leaders to present the initiative and highlight its potential. Among those in attendance, former MP Lord Jim Knight and MP Rachel Blake engaged in insightful discussions with students, emphasising the positive impact that relationships fostered through the PACTS framework can have on sustainability.
