For Children’s Mental Health Week, Smiley News joined Place2Be on a school visit to talk to young kids about highlighting the importance of early support and building positive mental health habits.

Tell Me More

As the host of Children’s Mental Health Week, Place2Be has gone above and beyond to champion the importance of early mental health support and the development of positive mental health habits for children. We joined them on their visit to a local London school, where they inspired young minds to reflect on their emotions and better understand their mental well-being.

To mark this important week, Place2Be partnered with Here4You to highlight the critical role of self-awareness and the power of expressing emotions. Supported by The Walt Disney Company, the initiative used the beloved characters from Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2 to engage children and young people across the UK.

By exploring how self-awareness can build resilience and foster personal growth, the campaign’s theme—“Know Yourself, Grow Yourself”—encouraged young minds to reflect on their emotions and identities.

The interactive resources, featuring characters from Inside Out 2, provided relatable examples to help children explore the impact of emotions on their development. By blending entertainment with meaningful mental health lessons, the collaboration between Place2Be, Here4You, and Disney offers a creative and impactful way for young people to connect with and nurture their emotional well-being.
