With the UK budget just announced, it's understandable that money and finance is on everyone’s mind. “How does this new tax affect us?” “What happens to my pension?” “Will the cost of living keep going up?”

These feelings are all too common and it’s equally important to know that you don’t have to deal with it alone. Especially this festive season, many charities are available to offer financial or lack of resource support.

Charity Food Bank

Oxfam 

Oxfam is one of the most well known charities fighting to end poverty worldwide. Their network works as a movement to put on activations on topics such as human rights, wealth inequality and poverty, often utilising humanitarian aid, advocacy, and development programmes.

Turn2Us

This UK-based charity campaigns for people to have financial security. Turn2Us works to fight the stigma for those that rely on the benefits system and campaigns to make it so that the needs of everyone in society can be adequately met. They also offer practical support to those struggling financially to rebuild their lives. 

Z2K

As a leading anti-poverty charity, Z2K is working to end poverty in the UK. Their approach is to tackle the two pillars that uphold poverty in society: inadequate incomes and high costs. According to recent findings, more than 1 in 5 people in the UK live in poverty, so this charity focuses their efforts on providing expert advice, campaigning and offering support. 

World Vision

World Vision is an international children’s charity giving support to some of the world’s most vulnerable children. Their work focuses on empowering children and improving them and their families lives through access to education, healthcare, clean water, and emergency relief. 

CARE International

Empowering women and girls is at the centre of what CARE International does, and in their efforts to eliminate poverty they target the systematic inequalities and build inclusive opportunities within communities. Additionally, they have a history of providing lifesaving assistance in times of crisis.
