We all know that Taylor Swift has a Perfectly Good Heart. It’s something that has come up time and time again as she has used her platform to campaign for positive change and to support charity work.
It’s virtually impossible to list all the ways that Taylor has given back to various charities since her career began, but we’ve done our best to put a list together of some of the causes she is most passionate about.
Naturally, Taylor Swift donates to music charities - a lot - as well as supporting other forms of arts and creativity. She has donated thousands of dollars to the Nashville Symphony, as well as the music department of multiple US colleges and universities, and even donated $4 million to build a new learning center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville
In times of crisis, Taylor has been known to donate very generously to charities and funds providing humanitarian aid. More than once, she has donated to tornado relief in her home of Tennessee, in order to help its citizens recover from the damage, and continuously donates to different relief funds and charities across America.
Taylor Swift is well known to be a feminist, and to support the rights of LGBTQIA+ people around the globe. To this end, she has supported the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network in both 2018 and 2021 in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
She has also supported Mariska Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Foundation, which provides support to to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse and human trafficking.
Perhaps most famously, while embarking on her Era’s Tour, Taylor’s biggest yet, she has been donating to a local food bank at every stop. While the charities have been asked not to disclose the amount that has been donated, it has been made clear that she has donated quite a significant amount across the duration of the tour.
Since her career really began in 2003, Taylor has been donating generously to schools across America to help improve education, access to books, and more. She has also donated money and thousands of books to libraries and schools around the world, so that children everywhere can get the education they deserve.
It’s amazing to see such a successful talent like Taylor Swift so dedicated to charitable giving, and being so generous with her time and money. It’s always inspiring when people make such a commitment to giving back through their career, and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
