Toy bridge in Romania for Ukrainian refugees

A “toy bridge” has been set up in Romania for children who are entering the country from Ukraine.

Catalin Tenită, a member of the Romanian Parliament, explained on LinkedIn that the Romanian Border Police and citizens have turned the pedestrian bridge linking Ukraine and Romania at Sighetu Marmației into the toy bridge.

“Each child who comes from Ukraine can take a toy from there, to enter the country with a nice thought,” he wrote, adding the hashtag: #standwithukraine.

Catalin shared an image of the toy bridge on LinkedIn, where it received more than 120,000 likes, 1,5000 comments and 4,000 shares at the time of writing.

"This truly touched me," one person wrote. "What an amazing story," shared another. "This is so important to share.
