Be Water Wise This Water Saving Week

06:30, 14 May 2025

Words by Cheyanne Bryan, Editorial and Campaign Marketing Executive, London

This May, communities across the UK are being called to action – not with protests or petitions, but with pledges and plumbing checks.

The whole of this week from 12th to 16th May 2025, Water Saving Week returns with a powerful theme: “Become a Water Saving Hero.”

The nationwide campaign invites individuals, schools, families, and businesses to unite in protecting one of our most vital resources.

Led by sustainability champions Waterwise, this year’s initiative highlights the small, daily actions that can make a big difference. Whether it’s cutting a minute off your shower or fixing a leaky tap, the message is clear: every drop counts.

Each day of the campaign is themed around simple yet impactful water-saving missions.

From Laundry Legend Monday to Leak Buster Friday, participants will be guided through three daily steps: sharing a pledge, seeing the collective impact, and taking a practical “hero action.” You can even enjoy their curated playlist of 4 minute long shower songs over on Spotify here

“We’re absolutely delighted to have the support of our sponsors this year,” said Chloe McFarland, Campaign Manager for Water Saving Week 2025.

“Their commitment to sustainability is helping drive real change. Together, we’re showing just how powerful small actions can be when we all pull together.”

Also lending support are theme sponsors Waterguard and ShowerBoB, both committed to sustainable living and water efficiency.

With growing concerns around water scarcity in the UK, this campaign is timely and essential. Water Saving Week 2025 isn’t just about awareness, it’s about action. To take part, mark your calendars, and see what campaign assets they have on their website to help you start your water saving journey.

Share your daily heroics using the hashtag #WaterSavingWeek2025.
