What Does Human Fraternity Mean?

Today is the UN’s International Day of Human Fraternity.

What is Human Fraternity?

Human fraternity is all about recognising how the joint contributions of people from all different religions and cultures are valuable.

That’s why the International Day of Human Fraternity is encouraging people to create a tolerant, accepting society - one that values people for the differences they bring to the table.

How Can We Encourage Human Fraternity?

According to the UN, one of the best ways to encourage this kind of connection is through education. By educating children about all religions equally from a young age, they can see their equal value - and it gives schools the opportunity to teach pupils about discrimination and mutual respect.
