CareDogs Helps Solve Social Isolation Through Canine Companionship

00:00, 08 April 2022

Words by Abi Scaife, Staff Writer, London

CareDogs is a charity on a mission. It is on a mission to end social isolation and loneliness in older people in the UK through facilitating dog adoption and offering a befriending network.

Older people often go a week without seeing or speaking anyone, and the number of over-50s experiencing loneliness is set to reach 2 million. This is what CareDogs is trying hard to solve: social isolation.

We caught up with its founder, Delphine Chui, plus some of the volunteers, to find the true positive impact of the charity's work.
