Singer Linda Nolan, a member of the pop group The Nolans, has died at 65.
Linda had a lengthy battle with cancer, but sadly passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday 15th January 2025, who have sung the praises of Blackpool Victoria Hospital for their care.
Initially being diagnosed in 2005, Linda was given the greenlight in 2011, but unfortunately was later diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2017. The condition evolved and spread to her brain by 2023.
In a statement to the BBC, her agent said: "Linda’s legacy goes beyond her remarkable career in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to inspire and raise awareness."
Since her first diagnosis, Linda became very open about her experiences living with breast cancer and has helped raise over £20m for numerous charities, including Breast Cancer Now, Irish Cancer Society and Samaritans, amongst countless other nonprofits.
Linda was part of The Nolans, alongside her sisters Coleen, Maureen, Bernie, Denise, and Anne. She was also a well-known television personality, appearing on ITV's Loose Women with Coleen, and a writer, having penned a best-selling memoir and contributed to the Daily Mirror.
